SUMMARY:LEARN Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme HORIZON-CL2-2023-TRANSFORMATIONS-01 Grant Agreement 101132531 and co-funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) grant agreement numbers [10107302\, 10092247]; and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation (SERI) \n\n\n\nEDUCATIONAL INEQUALITIES ACROSS EUROPE AND POLICY-RELATED CHALLENGESDURING ACUTE SOCIAL CRISES AND A CHANGING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT \n\n\n\nThe workshop is an in-person event\, part of the HORIZON LEARN project (short presentation here\, ZENODO here)\, that will be taking place at Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU)\, in Cluj-Napoca\, Romania (June 11 12\, 2026). The workshop brings together experts and researchers interested in the topic of educational inequalities. \n\n\n\nThe event offers participants the opportunity to: \n\n\n\n\nunderstand the dynamic of large-scale European projects that track educationalinequalities\n\n\n\nshowcase their research or policy work on educational inequalities\n\n\n\nmeet and network with experts and researchers on educational inequalities indifferent European countries\n\n\n\nactively listen to state-of-the-art talks on educational inequalities from multiplesocial sciences perspectives\n\n\n\n\nWE HAVE AN OPEN CALL FOR 4 UKRAINIAN BURSARIES TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP! \n\n\n\nThe bursaries will be supported with 2 nights of accommodation in Cluj-Napoca and transportation to and from Cluj-Napoca (specific procedure to be discussed with the BBU team after being selected). \n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n\n\nCurrent affiliation with a private or public institution working on educational inequalities\, with research or policy focus.\n\n\n\nTrack-record of work on educational inequalities (priority will be given to early-career applicants).\n\n\n\nUkrainian citizenship.\n\n\n\n\nApplication procedure\n\n\n\n\nCV with an emphasis on interests/work on educational inequalities (research and policy).\n\n\n\nLetter of intent that details how the workshop is in line with the professional goals of theapplicant.\n\n\n\n1 letter of recommendation from a senior scholar / policy expert.\n\n\n\n\nAll documents will be submitted online using this form: https://forms.gle/wQBCGuyvSknQPtEr7 \n\n\n\nTimeline\n\n\n\n\nCandidate online application: April 4 – April 27\, 2026\n\n\n\nEvaluation of applications: April 28 – April 29\, 2026\n\n\n\nDecision letters: April 30\, 2026\n\n\n\n\nContact person\n\n\n\nDr. Renata M.
