LEARN In-person Workshop Underway in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Today, we are delighted to welcome participants to the LEARN In-person Workshop. Hosted by Babes-Bolyai University (UBB). Oana Negru-Subțirică UBB LEARN principle investigator introduced Dean of Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences Dr Adrian Opre who opened the workshop followed by project lead and LEARN Coordinator Gary Pollock.

The workshop brings together researchers, policymakers, educators, and project partners from across Europe to explore the theme:
“Educational inequalities across Europe and policy-related challenges during acute social crises and a changing political environment.”
The programme features plenary presentations from distinguished speakers:
• Willem Frankenhuis, Professor of Evolutionary Psychobiology at the University of Amsterdam and Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law.
• Philipp Jugert, Professor of Intercultural Psychology, Migration and Integration, at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
The workshop also includes contributions from Natalia Yakovenko from Kyiv School of Economics, key members of the LEARN project team and welcomes colleagues from LEARN’s sister projects, REVERS-ED, LINEup, and STRIDE.
Over the next two days, participants will engage in discussions on the challenges facing education systems across Europe, with a focus on inequality, social change, and policy responses during periods of uncertainty.
